Uncharted Horizons of Divine Delight

Today's Scripture

He hid me in the shadow of his wings, and from the hand of the lion: he delivered me. (Psalm 18:11)

Reflection

In the stillness of a quiet morning, we often yearn for a sense of security and protection. The psalmist reminds us that God hides us in the shadow of His wings, a place of divine refuge. This imagery evokes a sense of tenderness and care, revealing a God who delights in our well-being.

The shadow of God's wings is not just a physical shelter but a spiritual sanctuary where we find peace and safety. It is in this sacred space that we encounter His presence, and our hearts are transformed by His love. As we bask in the warmth of His delight, our fears and anxieties begin to dissipate.

God's delight in us is not based on our performance but on His nature. He delights in us because He created us in His image, and His desire is to have a relationship with us. This understanding shifts our perspective from striving for approval to resting in His love.
